Igniting Change: Highlights from Letzrise’s Virtual Fundraising Workshop

On November 24–25, Letzrise delivered a focused two-day virtual workshop designed to demystify corporate social responsibility (CSR) fundraising and crowdfunding for grassroots partners. The programme was crafted for organizations ready to take confident first steps into these strategic arenas.

Why This Workshop Was Needed

Across India, many NGOs are driven by passion but face challenges navigating modern fundraising. From compliance hurdles in corporate partnerships to mastering digital-first campaigns, the landscape can be daunting. Educo and Letzrise set out to equip grassroots changemakers with practical tools, strategies, and confidence.

Champions of Change: Participation and Energy

The event saw enthusiastic participation from respected NGOs including PREM (People’s Rural Education Movement), SATHI, Vipla Foundation, Baliga Trust, and Child Rights Trust. Senior management and programme executives came together—sharing wisdom, asking bold questions, and learning with purpose.

Voices from the Workshop

  • Baliga Trust: “Thank you for such an insightful workshop.”
  • Child Rights Trust: “Well done! We often overlook the basics. Thank you for bringing us back to what truly matters.”
  • Vipla Foundation: “We learned the value of consistent follow-ups with CSR clients and how to craft a compelling story in just 90 seconds.”
  • SATHI: “We had no idea how to access CSR funds before this. Now, we have concrete strategies for both CSR and crowdfunding.”
  • PREM: “We discovered hidden CSR opportunities near our project areas and the critical importance of an updated digital presence. Thank you for the invaluable guidance!”

Practical Takeaways: Building Fundraising Readiness

Participants worked hands-on with checklists, actionable templates, and platform insights, as detailed in the session resources. From the essentials of CSR compliance (such as 12A, 80G, and CSR-1 registration) to the art of donor storytelling, each session was solution-focused. Key themes included:

  • Aligning proposals with corporate CSR priorities to create win–win collaborations.
  • Building credibility through transparent governance, strong digital visibility, and clear impact metrics.
  • Launching effective crowdfunding with minimal cost—using smart team structures, free planning tools, and community engagement to build momentum.
  • Following step-by-step roadmaps for proposal writing, pitching corporates, and managing long-term donor relationships.

A Collective Thank-You

Letzrise and all participants extend heartfelt gratitude to Educo India, especially Country Director Mr. Guruprasad Rao, for his leadership and vision in making this workshop possible.

Moving Forward: Resources and Continued Learning

To keep the momentum alive, we have shared the session PPTs and additional practical guides for CSR fundraising and crowdfunding . We encourage all participating organizations to leverage and adapt these resources as they turn learning into action.

Together, we’re not just fundraising—we’re building resilient systems, nurturing trust, and empowering communities for lasting change.
